WATCH: Luke Shaw Breaks Leg for Manchester United vs. PSV

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw suffered a horrific leg injury in the Red Devils’ Champions League opener against PSV on Tuesday night. He was carted off the field and there were eight minutes of injury time as a result.

PSV’s Hector Moreno made the challenge, and he knew right away that he had done serious damage.

Shaw, 20, was appearing in his first Champions League group stage match. He was purchased from Southampton for about $50 million in June, 2014, making him the most expensive teenager at the time. That record has since been set by new teammate Anthony Martial.

Shaw has six caps for England and made 20 appearances for Manchester United in 2014/15.

PSV won the match 2-1.
