Pope Francis is making his way all around New York City for his visit and one thing on his agenda is to address the United Nations General Assembly. The Pope will be speaking to the U.N. about environmental sustainability at 10:20 a.m. EDT.
If you’d like to watch the Papal U.N. address online, you can check out the UN Web TV Channel live stream at the bottom of this article. It is available 24 hours a day with selective live programming of UN meetings in addition to other footage. If for some reason you are unable to watch the Pope’s address via the below live stream, there are several other ways to watch coverage of the big event.
Catholic TV will be featuring live stream coverage of the Pope’s visit and you can access it by clicking here. Click “log in/sign up” in the upper right-hand corner. If you are not a member, click the “Join the Family” tab. Add in the requested information about yourself and then hit the “Join” button.
C-SPAN3 is airing the Pope’s address to the United Nations from 10:00 a.m. ET – 11:30 p.m. ET. Directly after, they are airing the Pope’s Interfaith Meeting at the September 11th Memorial and Museum from 11: 30 p.m ET until 12:30 p.m. ET. Click here to watch this channel’s live stream. Click sign in and then choose your TV provider (ie. Verizon FIOS, Optimum, etc.). Sign in or register a new account for free and you’re good to go.
CBS is featuring coverage of the Pope from 10:00 a.m. ET – 1:30 p.m. ET. CBS has a live stream available, along with additional coverage, via CBS All Access. When you visit the site, you can sign up for one free week to access the stream for live TV. When you click the “Try 1 Week Free” button, it will take you to a sign-up page to quickly create an account with very basic information.
Tablet users can watch the live footage by signing up for CBS All Access and using the CBS Mobile app, which you can find here. A one-week free trial is being offered for the $5.99-per-month All Access service, allowing you to watch CBS live at any time on any device.
NBC will have coverage of the Pope airing from 10:00 a.m. ET – 1:00 p.m. ET. If you’d like to watch the NBC live stream, in addition to live television on the network as well, click here. Click “Verify Now” and then verify your cable provider (ie. FIOS, Time Warner, Optimum). It will take you to a sign-in page. If you do not already have an account, you can register for free.
