A near-record snowfall of 26.8 inches has already been recorded in Central Park as the cleanup after the first blizzard of 2016, Winter Storm Jonas, begins. The Central Park snowfall amount was just 0.1 away from the record for New York City.

I don’t know where some of these snowfall amounts come from, but here in Manhasset, NY, we received more than 28 inches of snow. Taking depth measurements from all over we have an average of 30 inches and 4 to 5 ft snow drifts.
