Tonight’s Mega Millions drawing for $48 million will happen at 11:00 pm Eastern. The Mega Millions winning numbers are:
14 – 27 – 39 – 50 – 69 and a Mega Ball of 2
Mega Millions is a nationwide lottery played similar to the Powerball, but with slightly lower jackpots. There were three winners for Powerball’s huge $1.5 billion jackpot, from California, Florida, and Tennessee. You can read more about the winners here. The chances of winning the Mega Millions is about 1 in 258 million, similar to the chances of winning the Powerball jackpot. Each time someone doesn’t win the jackpot, the jackpot grows for the next drawing. No one won last week’s drawing, so the jackpot has grown to $48 million. If only one person wins and chooses the lump sum, he or she will take home $30 million before taxes.
How do you know if you won the Mega Millions? You’ll need to match five white balls in any order along with the Mega Ball. If you do win, make sure you know the deadline for claiming your prize.
