A 29-year-old teacher from the Young Men’s Academy in Fort Worth is accused of repeatedly raping a 15-year-old male student. Police say Alina Leung took an unnamed hispanic male student to Oklahoma twice for sex, had sex with him multiple times in her apartment while her boyfriend was away, and also had sex with him in the back seat of her jeep. The final alleged sexual assault of the boy took place “just prior” to Martin Luther King day, according to documents in the case.
Leung faces charges of sexual assault of a child, unlawful restraint for taking him across state lines, and improper relationship between a teacher and student.

1. She Allegedly Bought Her Victim Flavored Lube Because He Didn’t Like Performing Oral Sex on Her
According to cops in Fort Worth, Leung was caught when her victim’s father saw Facebook messages from her on his son’s laptop. Leung’s arrest affidavit says that some of the messages read:
I don’t want anything bad to happen to either of us so we both need to watch out for the outside world. If you say we need to see each other less [then] we will.
Another read:
I hope you’re not filling my head with fairy tales. I mean it when I say I love you and want to be with you forever.
The pair also exchanged picture messages, one showing Leung’s breasts accompanied by the phrase, “I love you.” During one instance, documents say, the victim performed oral sex on Leung but didn’t like it. She then bought him flavored lube “for him to use.”
She was arrested on the afternoon of February 10, reports WFAA. Her bail was set at $35,000. Leung was released on February 11 and had begun to remove her social media.
2. She Is a Science Teacher at an All-Boys School With a Mission to ‘Cultivate & Empower Young Men’

Online records show that Leung is a “6th & 7th Grade Science teacher at Young Men’s Leadership Academy in FWISD.” The school’s full title is the Paul Laurence Dunbar Young Men’s Leadership Academy, located on Willie Street in Fort Worth. It opened in 2012. According to the school’s Facebook page, its mission is:
To cultivate and empower all young men through Perseverance, Resilience, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence by developing academic scholars for generations to come.
The school is named after poet, novelist and playwright Paul Laurence Dunbar. It is the only all boys school in the district.
In 2014, Leung tried to solicit donations on a Go Fund Me page to buy extra items for her classroom.
3. Leung Initially Said That She Wanted to Wait Until 2017 to Have Sex With Her Victim, According to Cops

Documents in the case say that Leung and her victim allegedly became close while he hung out in her class room as she graded papers. Their relationship became physical after they exchanged Facebook messages and emails in October 2015.
The victim told cops that it was around Thanksgiving 2015 when Leung and the boy first had sex after she initially said she wanted to wait until 2017. Police say that during Christmas break, Leung took the victim to Oklahoma University, a school she is a fan of, according to her now-deleted Facebook page.
While there, she had sex with her student at a motel, say cops. One of the charges facing Leung is the allegation of taking a minor across state lines without parental consent. Leung’s affidavit says that the couple used lube bought at Walmart during sex.
After spending one night together in Oklahoma, the couple went out go karting together, before returning to their motel to spend the night, according to documents.
4. She Used to Work for Republican Congresswoman Kay Granger & Was a Member of the Child Abuse Prevention Society in College

On her LinkedIn page, Leung says that she formerly interned in Republican Congresswoman Kay Granger’s district office in Texas in 2014. She attended high school at Fossil Ridge in Fort Worth where she was on the wrestling team. Leung also studied at Oklahoma City University, Tarant County College and Texas Woman’s University, where she graduated with a degree in Political Science and Government. While at TWU, she was a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Society. On her LinkedIn page, she puts “Children” as one of the “Causes” she cares about.
5. In 2014, There Was a 27% Increase in Inappropriate Student/Teacher Relationships in Texas
In a 2014 study, the Texas Education Agency said that inappropriate student/teacher relationships were on the rise in Texas. Between 2011 and 2014, cases had risen 27 percent, according to a study. There were 141 in 2010 and 179 in 2014. The Texas Penal Code states that an inappropriate relationship with a student is a second-degree felony. Those found guilty could face 20 years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
