Bernie Sanders is hosting a rally in Long Island City’s Hunter’s Point South Park today, April 18. You can watch the rally on the livestream above. His rally yesterday in Prospect Park was attended by more than 28,000 people: a record-breaking number. (See photos from the rally here.)
The doors to the rally will open at 5 p.m. Eastern. The livestreams are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern. Yesterday, the livestreams began about an hour later than originally anticipated. If the livestream doesn’t start right away, stick around, as they might just be starting late. These livestreams are being maintained by the same channels that ran the ones for yesterday’s rally, so we expect them to work just fine.
A second livestream is available below.
If you want to attend the rally in person, the event is free and open to the public. You don’t need a ticket, but you’re encouraged to RSVP online so coordinators can have an idea of how many to expect. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The general admission entrance is at Center Blvd. off 54th Ave. Don’t bring bags with you, for security reasons, and limit what you carry to small, personal items. Attendees are encouraged to take public transportation, including the East River Ferry from E 35th St. and FDR Drive, or the 7 train to the stop at Vernon Blvd.-Jackson Ave.
The rally will feature Bernie Sanders himself, of course, and it will have special guests Danny Glover, Fisher Stevens, and TV on the Radio.
