Erik Takai, Mark Takai's Father
Mark's father, Erik, was an electrical engineer and president of the Aiea Jaycees in the 1970s. His family was named the "Hawaii Jaycees Family of the Year" in 1976.
Mark has three siblings. His parents taught them the value of hard work and of giving to the community, according to his website. His youngest sister, Nikki, is a public school teacher.
