WATCH: Bill O’Reilly Says White House Slaves Were ‘Well Fed’

Fox News O’Reilly Factor host Bill O’Reilly said Tuesday slaves who built the White House were “well fed and had decent lodgings” — a direct criticism of First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech on the opening night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

“Slaves that worked there were well fed and had decent lodgings provided by the government, which stopped hiring slave labor in 1802,” O’Reilly said. “However the feds did not forbid subcontractors from using slave labor. So Michelle Obama is essentially correct in citing slaves as builders of the White House, but there were others working as well.”

The topic was in response to Obama saying she wakes up “every morning in a house that was built by slaves.”
