In 2007, Amanda Knox was studying abroad in Italy when she was arrested and tried for the murder of Meredith Kercher. After four years, she and her then-boyfriend, Rafaelle Sollecito, were acquitted. The creators of the documentary have revealed that the film will reach no definitive conclusions– rather, they want audiences to make their own decisions about the circumstances of Kercher’s death.
The film will feature a long interview with Knox (which will run for about half the duration of the film), plus a shorter one with Sollecito. Meredith Kercher’s family was not involved in the project.
