A severe storm cut a swath through a Rockwall, Texas neighborhood, damaging a series of homes.
Local news stations broadcast dramatic photos and videos of the damage at the scene.
The early morning March 29 storm also injured one person, according to WFAA-TV.
The television station reported that the person injured was a man who lived in a home in the Rockwall Ranch neighborhood.
NBCDFW reported that six homes suffered severe damage during the storm, which hit north Texas during the night. Rescuers set up a staging area in a nearby elementary school, the television station reported.
The storm brought hail and lightning with it, according to the television station, which also reported that the one injury was not life-threatening in nature.
CBS local reported that wind speeds during the storm reached 90 miles per hour and tornado warnings were issued.
