POLL: Was the Blaze Wrong to Suspend Tomi Lahren?

Was The Blaze wrong – or right – to suspend conservative commentator Tomi Lahren?

Now’s your chance to weigh in. Take our poll at the bottom of this post.

First, a quick summary of the controversy, which boiled over on March 20.

The news broke that Glenn Beck’s publication, The Blaze, was suspending conservative commentator, Tomi Lahren. “Lahren’s show is suspended for effect for at least one week starting Monday, according to TheDC’s sources,” reported The Daily Caller.

The Daily Caller blamed Lahren’s “inflammatory style” for the suspension, writing, “Tensions were high between Lahren and her coworkers at The Blaze even before she called pro-life conservatives hypocrites in an appearance on ABC’s ‘The View’ on Friday.”

According to the Hill, Lahren appeared on The View and said “she is pro-choice and called pro-life conservatives hypocrites.” The Hill quoted her as saying, “I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.”

On Twitter, Lahren has posted a stream of tweets defending herself. Examples:

Glenn Beck also took to Twitter.

Here’s video from The View:

Here’s the point of tension. Lahren and her supporters say it’s wrong for conservative media to arguably hold a person’s freedom of speech against them and should accept contrary views. Others says it’s a conservative site, so it has a right to choose commentators that follow that belief system.

What do you think? Was The Blaze right or wrong to suspend Tomi Lahren?

Tomi has obviously outgrew Glen and all the other jealous coworkers, she will have a great future elsewhere you’ll see.

Tomi is a traditional “natural rights” type of American conservative. Hence, she doesn’t belong on The Blaze and should be replaced.

Glenn Beck is an American leftwing progressive, that supports right-sided religious, value-laden issues to keep his mask on.

Therefore, he should replace Tomi and hire Meghan McCain, who follows the same surreptitious path as he does.

PS – Yes, Mr.Beck, most of Trump’s policies and perspectives are Libertarian in nature, the remainder flow with Paleoconservatism.

None of Trump’s policies I can think of are Libertarian in nature. Not border control, not the replacement health care bill, cost & size of the military, abortion, nothing Trump advocates follows libertarian principles.

You are not correct with respect to military and abortion. Here are several of his positions that are in line with Libertarian party philosophy:

1. A fierce supporter of the 2nd amendment (It protects individuals from a tyrannical government),
2. Tax reductions across the board
3. Reduction of regulations holding back capitalism and the free market
4. Ending “waste fraud and abuse” in the public sector – reducing the budget and thereby reducing the power of the federal government,
5. He is Anti-FED Reserve and its creation of debt – has stated that the FED has created a false economy,
6. He supports free speech over the PC culture,
7. He does not support foreign intervention, nor of any military conflict not directly connected to the USA’s national security,
8. He’s a “Reformer” that supports administrative deconstruction to preserve individual liberty against encrouching euro-socialist tendencies within our federal government,
9. He has decided that taxpayers should not be forced to pay for other people’s abortions (this is also a new plank in Libertarian party).

Border Control – this is a paleoconservative trait
