Melania Wanted to Return to Traditions for the Event
First Lady Melania Trump wanted to return to traditin for the event. She did a lot of research on previous Egg Rolls while planning the event, CNN reported, and ultimately decided to bring back some traditions, such as military bands and a focus on the family. The event also features a cookie decorating station, an art wall, and a place where children can write thank you notes to military troops and veterans. (Getty)
