A statement from the London police says a female terror suspect has been shot and a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody. The above video shows a group of heavily armed anti-terror cops approaching a home in the North London suburb of Willesden before shots can be heard. The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. local time.
In a press release, the London Metropolitan Police said that the woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital. As well as arresting a 16-year-old boy, three other people were taken into custody. Only two were arrested at the address, others arrested nearby but all are related to the same investigation.
A massive police response has been reported at the area. The London police statement stresses that the shooting in Willesden has nothing to do with other April 27 incident in Whitehall. The BBC reported that a man was arrested on the suspicion of terror offenses close to government buildings in central London’s Whitehall area. The network reports that the man was armed with knives.
