Rich Swann (c) vs. T.J. Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick (Triple Threat Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
Winner: And still the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Rich Swann!
Highlights: “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” Austin Aries graced us with his presence on commentary for this title bout. After the proper handshakes were doled out, each man exchanged some quick moves with each other. Swann ended up kicking Kendrick and causing him to exit the ring, which left Swann and Perkins to go blow for blow. Kendrick soon recovered and grabbed Swann’s foot to bring him outside. Perkins and Kendrick began going at it, but Swann came back in to land an Enzuguri on Kendrick. Swann then pulled of a number of big moves on both men, including a double Hurricanrana. Swann looked to stay in control, but Kendrick used a big boot to knock Swann down.
The action kept moving at a fast pace, but it came to a screeching halt when Kendrick locked Swann into his Bully Choke. Perkins broke the submission hold by pulling Kendrick away and locking him in his Kneebar hold. Swann soon got back to his feet and laid in a Rolling Thunder -like splash to take out Perkins. Later on, Kendrick found himself shoved to the outside after a failed Sliced Bread No. 2. Swann then got locked into the Kneebar for several moments, but Perkins broke the hold after several grueling moments. Kendrick ran in to keep fighting, but he ate a double Superkick that pushed him back to the outside. Swann then KO’d Perkins with his swift side kick to retain his title.
After the match, Neville shocked the crowd by returning. He beat down the champ and Perkins while the crowd looked on in amazement. Neville absolutely pummeled both men over and over with a particularly nasty scowl on his face.
Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho
Winner: Seth Rollins!
Highlights: Once this grudge match kicked off, Rollins quickly embarrassed Jericho. But right after that, Y2J did the very same thing to Rollins. Both men then got more serious and traded lockup holds that soon ended with Rollins getting Jericho down with strikes and chops. Y2J recovered from all those moves and finally got Rollins down with a Missile Dropkick. Y2J got control of Rollins afterwards by continuously striking him in the ring corner. Rollins soon managed to cut off Y2J with a clothesline and then followed that up kneeing him in the face on the outside. Once back in the ring, Y2J regained control by using the ref to hide from Rollins. Y2J used this moment to strike Rollins’ eye and weaken his vision.
Later on, Rollins looked to get the upper hand once again but Jericho cut him off to the outside with his Springboard Dropkick. Rollins ran into the ring just in time to prevent a count-out loss, but Y2J immediately began punishing him as soon as he ran back in. Y2J then remained in control as he pulled out his most familiar moves on Rollins. Jericho then used repeated slaps to embarrass Rollins, but Rollins then responded with a few slaps of his own. Jericho’s submission attempt on Rollins failed as Rollins beat him back with an Enzuguri. Rollins then pushed Jericho groin first into the ring corner for good measure.
Rollins finally came back to life and entered a 2nd gear with his comeback offense. Rollins almost got locked into a Walls of Jericho, but Rollins escaped. He instead got dropped with an Enzuguri, though. After getting shoved over the rope while attempting his Lionsault, Jericho got taken down with a suicide dive by Rollins. Back in the ring, Rollins’s failed springboard maneuver resulted in him getting locked into the Walls of Jericho. Rollins fought hard enough to grab the bottom rope and escape Y2J’s grasp. Later on, Rollins clipped Y2J with another Enzuguri. But Jericho held on and finally hit his Lionsault on Rollins right after. Rollins soon delivered a Falcon Arrow suplex to Jericho, but it wasn’t enough to put away his opponent. After this series of moves, both men cut each other off with a wealth of cool counters. But Rollins found himself stuck in the Walls of Jericho a 2nd time.
Rollins escaped, caved in Jericho’s face with Superkicks and then came off the top rope with a beautiful Frog Splash. Suddenly, Kevin Owens ran in to aid his former best friend. It almost worked, but Y2J failed to properly capitalize on Owens’ assistance. Jericho eventually fell victim to Rollins’ Pedigree.
