WWE Roadblock: End of the Line: The Results & Highlights You Need to Know

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns (WWE Universal Championship)

WWE Roadblock End of the Line

Winner: And still the WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens!

Highlights: As soon as the bell rung, Owens crawled to the outside while Reigns yelled at him to get their match started. On the 2nd time that Owens escaped to the outside, Reigns met him and began landing a few punches on him. They both got back into the ring, but it led to the outside once more and led to both men striking each other repeatedly. Once the match got back into the ring, Owens and Reigns finally locked up. Owens’ tight headlock attempt was thwarted when Reigns took Owens out with a backdrop. Owens rolled back to the outside, but Reigns was there once more to cut him off with more offense. Reigns began setting up an announce table for something big, but Owens put a stop to whatever he was doing. Owens rolled Reigns into the ring and landed his Running Senton on him right in the center. Owens looked to be in control, but Reigns got back to his feet and beat down Owens even more.

This caused Owens to retreat (again…) to the timekeeper’s area. Reigns followed suit and grabbed hold of Owens. Owens soon got the better of him by throwing him right into the steel ring steps. Owens followed that up hitting his Senton Splash right off the top of the ring steps. Owens finally threw Reigns back into the ring on his own and got in control. Owens even managed to lock in a tight submission hold on his now grounded foe. When Reigns fought hard to escape, Owens turned him right into a neckbreaker and flipping leg drop. Owens then locked his submission hold back in on Reigns. Reigns escaped once more and even dodged Owens’ Senton Splash. Reigns then entered right into his comeback offense (which the crowd wasn’t exactly thrilled with).

Reigns looked to land a Samoan Slam, but Owens rolled out of it and dropped him with a German Suplex. Owens looked to land his Cannonball Splash, but Reigns cut him off with a big boot and finally landed his Samoan Slam. Owens held on, but later on he got taken down with a well-placed Superman Punch. Owens survived it, though. Both men got locked onto the top rope, but Reigns slipped off and came running back with another Superman Punch. Reigns went for another big move off the top rope, but Owens countered him with a top rope Fisherman Suplex. Reigns survived the following pin attempt, though. Reigns got back to his feet with more comeback offense and landed his sliding dropkick to Owens on the outside. On his 2nd attempt, Owens dodged it and caught Reigns with a Superkick. Owens landed another one and then Frog Splashed Reigns twice into the announce table.

Reins crawled back into the ring and immediately got caught with another Frog Splash. Owens looked to land his finisher, but Reigns countered it and dropped Owens with his own Sitdown Powerbomb. Reigns signaled for his Spear, but Owens booted him in the face and finally landed his Pop Up Powerbomb. But it was still not enough to take Reigns out. Owens got desperate and grabbed his title to land something big on Reigns, but Reigns speared him out of nowhere. Suddenly, Jericho ran out. He looked like he was set to take down Reigns, but he targeted Owens with his Code Breaker instead. The match was then thrown out due to disqualification…

After the match, Rollins and Reigns took revenge on their rivals. Reigns speared the hell out of Owens while Rollins cut Y2J off with another Pedigree. Jericho then ate a Shield Powerbomb through an announce table. Owens then received the same treatment through the announce table set up near the stage area.
