Franks Has ‘Full Confidence’ in Himself

While the Falcons added Josh Rosen to be one of Ryan’s backup, rookie Feleipe Franks is confident he can take the No. 2 spot.

“I have full confidence in myself,” Franks said, via AtlantaFalcons.com. “I feel like I’m starting to gain confidence in the group around me. I’m just going to put my head down and go to work. That’s all it’s about, learning from your mistakes. That’s his mindset with just about anything. I do feel like I have the capability to do that job.”

Franks ended Sunday’s 19-10 loss against the Browns completing 5 of 8 passes for 66 yards, which included a 27-yarder to first-round pick Kyle Pitts, his first catch as an NFL player.

As for Rosen, he played the second half and finished the game completing 9 of 18 passing for 118 yards. Although, his numbers should look a bit different considering some “incomplete passes” were dropped. That’s not a bad outing for someone who had just three days to learn the Falcons offense before stepping up and playing better than Atlanta’s injured backup quarterback AJ McCarron.
