Jones was waived with an injury designation by Atlanta on Monday, and he'll now spend the 2025 season on injured reserve unless the Falcons later cut the quarterback with an injury settlement.
The Falcons waived Jones (concussion) with an injury designation Monday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Jones was concussed after playing 12 offensive snaps in the Falcons' second preseason contest over the weekend. He'll revert to the Falcons' injured-reserve list once he clears waivers. Jones has complete six of 10 passes 65 yards this preseason, while rushing five times for 19 yards.
