Nicolas Batum : Iffy for Wednesday
Batum (finger) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Batum could be in line to miss Wednesday's matchup with Boston, which would be his first missed game this season with the Clippers. The veteran forward is having arguably the worst season of his career in the NBA, as he's seen his playing time go down along with his averages across the board.
Kris Dunn : Iffy against Boston
Dunn is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Celtics due to left knee soreness, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Dunn entered the starting lineup Monday with Kawhi Leonard (knee) out, With Leonard, Ivica Zubac (eye), James Harden (groin), Nicolas Batum (finger) and Norman Powell (back) all either out or questionable, the Clippers could be severely short-handed against Boston.
Norman Powell : Questionable for Wednesday
Powell is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Celtics due to back soreness, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Powell is in danger of missing his first game since Wednesday, Dec. 4, due to back soreness. With James Harden (groin) and Kris Dunn (knee) also questionable, Terance Mann, Kevin Porter and Bones Hyland could all receive increased playing time against Boston.
James Harden : Iffy against Boston
Harden (groin) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Celtics, Joey Linn of SI.com reports. Harden is in danger of missing the first leg of the Clippers' back-to-back Wednesday while dealing with right groin soreness. With Norman Powell (back) and Kris Dunn (knee) also questionable, Kevin Porter, Terance Mann and Bones Hyland could receive increased playing time against Boston.
Kawhi Leonard : Will miss second straight game
Leonard (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Joey Linn of SI.com reports. Leonard will miss a second straight game Wednesday due to right knee injury management. This game against the Celtics is the first game of a back-to-back, so he could return for the second game Thursday against the Wizards. The star forward has played in only five games for the Clippers thus far this season, averaging 13.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game in 21.8 minutes on the floor.
Ivica Zubac : Won’t play Wednesday
Zubac (eye) is out for Wednesday's game versus the Celtics, Joey Linn of SI.com reports. Zubac will miss his second straight contest Wednesday due to a left eye corneal abrasion. Mo Bamba will likely draw another start in his absence. Zubac's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Washington.
Nicolas Batum : Scoreless in 18 minutes
Batum provided zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 18 minutes during Monday's 112-99 loss to Chicago. The Clippers were missing Ivica Zubac (eye) on Tuesday, but the big man is considered day-to-day. Mo Bamba drew the start and played 15 minutes, as the Clippers utilized some smaller lineups that benefitted Amir Coffey (33 minutes) and Kobe Brown (11 minutes). Batum's fantasy appeal is non-existent in most formats.
Mo Bamba : Serviceable results in spot start
Bamba amassed 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and seven rebounds across 15 minutes during Monday's 112-99 loss to the Bulls. Making a spot start at the five for the Clippers on Monday, Bamba was serviceable during his 15 minutes of action in what was his first appearance with the first unit this year. The veteran big man did lose considerable center minutes to Nicolas Batum and Kobe Brown from Los Angeles' second unit, though. If Ivica Zubac is able to return from an eye injury in time for Wednesday's showdown with the Celtics, Bamba would certainly be slated to revert back to the bench.
