Monsignor William Lynn Jailed for Catholic Sex Abuse Coverup

In a small bit of justice for scarred victims of perverted priests, the first church official deemed a felon for covering up sex crimes was brought to justice today.

Monsignor William Lynn of Philadelphia received 3-6 years for hiding child molestation committed by priests under his command, reports the AP.

The judge scolded him upon his sentence, saying he let “monsters in clerical garb … destroy the souls of children, to whom you turned a hard heart.”

The sentencing comes a day after Penn State was severely punished by the NCAA for allowing child raper Jerry Sandusky to continue his reign of terror.
