‘Anonymous’ Hackers Declare Cyber War on ISIS

The hacktivist group Anonymous has purportedly announced a full scale online war against the Islamic State in a new, French video after the Paris terror attacks that left 129 dead. The video was released on November 16 and shows a man wearing Anonymous’ signature Guy Fawkes mask addressing the Islamic State in French. A translation reads:

Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared. Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down. You should know that we will find you and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you.

The video has not yet been verified to be by Anonymous.

The Islamic State has officially claimed responsibility for the November 13 attacks in Paris. It is the first time that ISIS has officially claimed an attack in Europe.

Authorities in Paris have reported 129 fatalities as a result of multiple shootings and explosions at at least five locations in the French capital, including Petit Cambodge Restaurant and Stade de France. Paris police also report that an attack at the Bataclan concert hall where the American band the Eagles of Death Metal was performing left 89 dead.

ISIS has purportedly also released a new video promising a similar attack in Washington, D.C.
