On Christmas Day, the banks and post offices are all closed, but on Christmas Eve, businesses run as usual, though they may have limited holiday hours. For example, some Wells Fargo banks are only open until 2:00 p.m. ET/PT and Bank of America stores may close at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT. It is important to check with your local branches.
According to USPS, many post offices will close at noon for the holidays on Christmas Eve, and all will have holiday hours in place. Local branches may have revised hours. USPS also states that their blue collection boxes with final collection times before 12:00 p.m. ET/PT will not be affected by the early closing on December 24, 2015.
Though the post offices will have special hours, mail should be delivered as usual. FedEx and UPS are closed on Christmas Day, but are open on Christmas Eve.
The holiday hours for the rest of 2015 are: Closed Christmas Day 2015 and Open New Year’s Eve 2015, but Closed at Noon.
