Donald Trump delivered a speech from New York this morning in which he criticized Hillary Clinton as being the most corrupt person to ever seek the office of the presidency. In the aftermath of the address, many praised the candidate for a shift towards substantive issues over irrelevant personal attacks, calling this the first speech of Trump’s general election campaign.
Still, others criticized the candidate for peppering his speech with a fair amount of statements that are objectively false.
Here are some of the reactions to Trump’s June 22nd speech you need to see.
This speech is the closest thing to a “normal presidential candidate speech” we’ve seen Trump do all year. We’ll see how long it lasts.
I’m so confused. I remember when Donald Trump bragged that getting rich by working the system was a GOOD thing!
There is a decided loss of emotional elasticity when Trump uses the teleprompter.
Prediction: Within 24 hours, Trump will have said something to knock his good speech off the front page.
The biggest problem with this Trump speech isn’t his rip on Hillary. It’s that he AGREED with Hillary on the vast majority of her policies.
Trump’s teleprompter has the very best words and a very good brain. This is turning into a good speech.
Was @HillaryClinton already “most corrupt candidate ever” when Trump supported her? Or did she become corrupt only when Trump ran himself?
Trump’s description of Benghazi is 100 percent based on conservative memes your grandma sent in a chain email.

Maybe he is a genius. Now Trump gives a speech crammed with lies & everyone gushes because he managed not to say anything overtly racist.
Many of Trump’s supporters were happy with the candidate’s rebuttal of Hillary Clinton’s campaign slogan “I’m With Her.” In contrast, he offered the phrase, “I’m With You,” which fans began using as a hashtag.
#HesWithUs #ImWithYou – That was a great speech!
