Police say an inebriated 24-year-old partygoer is now “safe” and sound after being rescued from a locked safe.
The young man is said to have entered the safe on a dare during a party at a vacant store in downtown Toronto Saturday night.
Police were called to the store on Queen Street West and were able to free the man just before midnight. According to the Toronto Star, police accounts differ on the size of the safe, but it was definitely large enough for the man to become stuck in for at least 30 minutes.
Fire fighters were able to cut the man free, and he did not require medical attention.
In other news… #Toronto Fire is sawing apart a safe after a man managed to get trapped inside. Booze might just be a factor.
