After explaining last week how astronauts brush their teeth while in orbit, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield is back at it answering the common question, “If a man cries in space, do the tears fall?”
“As you can see, it just forms a ball on my eye,” he says. “So if you keep crying you just end up with a bigger and bigger ball of water in your eye until eventually it crosses across your nose and gets into your other eye.”
So while you can indeed cry in space, your tears will not fall.
