An loud-noise of some-description has occurred at an apartment building on Lexington Avenue in Lower Manhattan, reports ABC New York. The incident occurred at around 12:45 p.m.
At 1:25 p.m., CBS New York reported that the sound of the explosion was caused by a “popped tyre.”

1. It Was Reported to be Firecrackers
Early reports suggested a package was delivered to 88 Lexington Avenue which contained firecrackers. The fireworks were said have ignited somehow in the building’s lobby.
