Joe Staszak is a Philadelphia-based sports reporter who covers the Philadelphia Eagles for Heavy.com

Staszak was Philly born, he was Philly bred, and when he dies he’ll be Philly dead. A native of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Staszak was a Pioneer of Conestoga High School and stayed local to get his journalism/ communications degree from Villanova University, thus taking the stock of a Villanova diploma to record lows.

Staszak’s first gig in the industry was with PRISM sports in 1989, covering the four local home teams, the Flyers, 76ers and Phillies while also covering the Randall Cunningham-led Philadelphia Eagles. It was at PRISM where he produced live games and began his career as an on-air reporter.

After a couple of brief stints with CBS-3, WB-17 and WGAL-8 in Lancaster, PA, Staszak began a 12 year stretch at FOX 29 where he became the lead sportscaster in 2007. It was there that Staszak found himself in the middle of the Phillies World Series Championship coverage that earned him an Emmy nomination for best sports reporter in 2008. It was one of five Emmy nominations that Staszak earned over the course of his career. All told Staszak has covered three World Series, two Stanley Cup Finals, an NBA Finals and one Super Bowl.

In 2011, in addition to juggling his TV responsibilities at FOX,  Staszak opened up a frozen yogurt shop in Exton, PA, named Sarandipity, after his two biological daughters, Ana and Sara. Being told he had a face for radio since birth, Staszak left the TV business for 97.5 The Fanatic in 2013, where he enjoyed every minute of his time bloviating his beliefs on how a professional football team should be run. When left left the station in 2022 he was the second longest tenured host at the station where the pinnacle of his time came in 2018 when he was fortunate enough to be the first sports talk host in the city, along with cohort Zach Gelb, to provide post-game coverage of the first Super Bowl Championship for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He currently is the head Eagles Writer/Blogger for Heavy.com and also covers Penn State football for NittanyCentral.com as a senior writer and video host.

Staszak is also a fitness, nutrition and mindset coach and is the creator/founder of Epic Swagger.

Staszak lives in Malvern, PA and is neighbors with Eagles' running back Saquon Barkley, unbeknownst to the NFL's leading rusher.

He also has three current podcasts:
