Sarr produced 19 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Thursday's 123-114 win over the Hornets. Sarr has now scored double-digit points in five straight outings. While the rookie big man is still struggling with his efficiency on the season, he is shooting 40.9 percent on 4.4 three-point attempts per contest over that stretch. Sarr is still raw in his scoring ability, but his average of 1.9 blocks per game this season displays his elite rim-protection upside.

Swats three shots in victory
Sarr produced 19 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Thursday's 123-114 win over the Hornets. Sarr has now scored double-digit points in five straight outings. While the rookie big man is still struggling with his efficiency on the season, he is shooting 40.9 percent on 4.4 three-point attempts per contest over that stretch. Sarr is still raw in his scoring ability, but his average of 1.9 blocks per game this season displays his elite rim-protection upside.
Full stat line in return
Sarr (back) amassed 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Friday's 115-105 loss to the Cavaliers. Making his return to Washington's starting lineup after a two-game absence due to a back injury, Sarr supplied the Wizards with a full stat line and didn't appear to be facing any type of minute restrictions Friday. It's been an up-and-down rookie season thus far for the 2024 No. 2 overall pick, but he's been solid over his last seven games, averaging 13.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 blocks, 0.9 steals and 1.7 three-pointers per contest. The 19-year-old big man is still searching for his identity on offense in the NBA, but Sarr remains a strong source of blocks for fantasy managers going forward.
Good to go Friday
Sarr (back) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game versus the Cavaliers. Sarr will return to action Friday after missing Washington's previous two contests with lower back soreness. The rookie big man is averaging 11.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 blocks in 28.2 minutes across his last 10 appearances.
Won't play Sunday
Sarr (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies. Sarr will miss both halves of Washington's weekend back-to-back set, marking his first absence of the season. His next chance to suit up will come Friday in Cleveland. Justin Champagnie will likely draw another start in Sarr's absence.
Ruled out Saturday vs. Denver
Sarr (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. Sarr is dealing with soreness in his lower back. He'll be held out for Saturday's contest, and it's not clear whether the rookie center will be available for the Wizards' second-leg of a back-to-back Sunday against the Grizzlies. With Sarr sidelined for Saturday's game, Jonas Valanciunas will likely slide into the Wizards' starting lineup while Marvin Bagley sees more playing time in a reserve role.
Dealing with lower back soreness
Sarr (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. The No. 2 overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft is working through lower back soreness, and his official status for Saturday's contest might not be known until he goes through pregame warmups. If Sarr is unable to play, Jonas Valanciunas would likely start at center while Marvin Bagley sees an uptick in playing time off the bench. Over his last five games, Sarr has averaged 12.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 blocks over 28.8 minutes per game.
Busy on defense in Tuesday's loss
Sarr finished with 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 118-87 loss to the Cavaliers. The second overall pick in the 2024 Draft continues to have trouble producing at the offensive end consistently, but Sarr has been able to make an impact defensively to begin his career. He's failed to record at least one block only once in his first 19 NBA games, and he's snatched at least one block and one steal in four of the last five contests. Over that five-game stretch, Sarr is averaging 13.4 points, 7.4 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.8 threes, 1.4 blocks and 0.8 steals.
Career-best effort from downtown
Sarr finished Tuesday's 127-108 loss to the Bulls with 20 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes. The four made three-pointers were a new career high for the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, while the 20 points tied his high-water mark so far. Sarr remains inconsistent offensively -- not surprising considering he won't turn 20 until late April -- and is shooting just 24.3 percent from beyond the arc, but he's already a force on the defensive end of the court. He's recorded at least one block in 15 of his first 16 pro games, and his 1.9 rejections a game is tied for fifth in the league with Myles Turner.
Owns paint in double-double
Sarr posted 17 points (7-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Sunday's 115-103 loss to the Pacers. Sarr entered Sunday's contest dealing with a non-COVID illness, but ended up dominating the paint while leading all players in rebounds and concluding with team-high marks in scoring and blocks. Sarr, who has yet to miss a game this season, set a new season high in rebounds and has recorded a double-double in two outings. He has now tallied at least 15 points in three contests this year, two of which have came over the last five games.
