Bub Carrington: Breaking News

Carrington ended Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers with 20 points (7-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes. Carrington fell just one assist short of what would have been his first double-double of the season. While it was another disappointing season for Washington, Carrington at least managed to compile some intriguing performances down the stretch. In eight games over the past two weeks, he averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 28.9 minutes per game.

Carrington finished with 30 points (11-15 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Friday's 140-117 loss to the Heat. Carrington was extremely efficient in this game, as he missed just four of his 15 shots from the field, and that allowed him to match his previous season-high scoring output -- he had previously scored 30 points in a loss to the Pistons on March 30. Carrington has started in each of the Wizards' last 14 games, and he heads into the regular-season finale at Cleveland on Sunday with averages of 15.0 points and 4.7 assists per game over that stretch.

Carrington had 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and seven assists in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 129-98 loss to Chicago. While Carrington did deliver with the counting stats, he struggled to get his shot to drop and also coughed up five turnovers. Over the past two games, Carrington has nearly matched his assists total (10) with turnovers (nine).
