Why are dozens of German soldiers all developing breasts on the left side of their chests? Hard-hitting rifle drills are to blame.
A report published in the German Medical Science journal revealed that dozens of soldiers in the Wachbataillon unit have developed one-sided gynecomastia, a condition that results in mammary growth due to over-stimulation to the area. As a part of the soldiers’ trademark drill, the men violently slam their guns into the left side of their chest, causing the growth of a left boob.
Director of plastic surgery at the military hospital in Berlin, Professor Bjorn Krapohl, urges that the battalion change its rifle routine.
A total of 35 soldiers from the elite Wachbataillon were diagnosed with the condition. Military officials said they will research the condition and adapt the battalion’s training if necessary.
The Wachbataillon, which performs the drill at official events, is the largest battalion of the German forces with about 1,800 soldiers.
They are now the largest battalion … with the largest boobs.
