Coca-Cola Park is breaking down walls and reshaping the wild world of bathroom fun as we know it!

The home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs will debut the cutting edge “Urinal Gaming System,” the world’s first hands-free urinal gaming system.

When the ballpark opens in April, all men’s restrooms will feature the “p-controlled” video game systems, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes is quoted on the IronPigs website as saying “These games are sure to make a huge splash!” Clever man.

The Urinal Gaming System was created by the British company Captive Media, who provide a vivid description: when a uder approaches the urinal, the device uses “patented technology to detect not only his presence … but the direction of his stream. Algorithms then allow the user to do something simple, but VERY engaging – controlling the system just by aiming their stream left or right!”

When they’re done, guys can see their scores, and high scores will be displayed in real time on videoboards throughout the stadium. These urinal games have already been implemented in the UK, and Coca-Cola Park is Captive Media’s first global venture, and the first in a North-American sports venue.

And all this under the veil of spreading awareness about prostate health! Angelo Baccala of Lehigh Valley Urology Specialty Care and chief of Lehigh Valley Health Network’s division of urology hopes this game will motivate men to discuss prostate health with their doctors.
