Aaron Hernandez Denied Bail Again!!

Aaron Hernandez is accused of the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, yesterday at Attleboro District Court, the former New England Patriot was charged with first-degree-murder and denied bail by Judge Daniel O’Shea.

Today his lawyer, James Sultan, made the argument that the trial, at Fall River Superior Court, is complex and to ask him to be away from his young family during the time it would take for a trial to be processed, is unfair. Sultan also brought up Hernandez’s shoulder saying that Hernandez wouldn’t receive adequate medical care in prison. Sultan further said that Hernandez would be subject to close monitoring, including an ankle-monitor and the surrendering of his passport.

The judge and defensive lawyers agreed that it was unusual for accused murderers to be allowed bail, but not unheard of.

Yesterday Hernandez was mainly spoken for by his other defense, Michael Fee. Fee is known as a coroporate lawyer, whereas Sultan is regarded “a very highly respected criminal defense lawyer in Boston,” according to David Siegel, a law professor at New England Law Boston. Sultan’s partner, Charles Rankin, rounds out Hernandez’s legal defense.
