Zimmerman Verdict Outrage: Images &Videos of Angry Protests

Protesters outside the Seminole County Courthouse react after hearing the not-guilty verdict

Last night, George Zimmerman‘s fate was decided by a jury of six woman who worked into the night on their second day of deliberations. America tuned in to the conclusion of the televised trial and watched as Zimmerman was acquitted of murder chargers— walking out of the court room a free man. While some rejoiced, others were outraged, denouncing the verdict as unjust.

Rumors of predicted race riots even spurred the inaccurate publication of a 2011 Vancouver Stanley Cup riot under the title “Riots in Miami.” Contrary to speculations, those against the verdict did not riot. Instead, they engaged in peaceful protests around the country and reverted to Twitter to express their disappointment.
