Yanukovich is Now in Russia
Yanukovich, who sparked the Ukraine protests when he refused to sign a trade agreement with the European Union, favoring instead renewed economic ties with Russia, has fled Ukraine and is now in Rostov-on-Don in Western Russia. There, he made a press conference Friday morning in which he said that he is still the legitimate president of Ukraine and thanked Russia for its support.
