Justin James Rector has been arrested in Bullhead City, Arizona, and has been charged in the death of 8-year-old Isabella Grogan-Cannella, reports Mohave Daily News. Bullhead City is located about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.

1. He’s a ‘Family Friend’
Rector, 26, is described by the Mohave News as a “family friend.”
2. Rector Was First Arrested on Shoplifting Charges
He was first arrested on an unrelated charge to “Bella’s” death, a few hours later he was booked on 1st degree murder charges, reports 12 News. Rector was originally picked up on a shoplifting charge, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
3. He Said on Facebook That He Had Been ‘Cleared no Charges’
Rector posted this on Facebook on September 2:
In the comments section of that Facebook post, one of Rector’s friends referred to Bella Grogan-Canella’s parents as “crack head parents.”

4. There Were No Signs of Abduction When ‘Bella’ Disappeared
At the time of her disappearance, police noted that there was no sign of an abduction. The 8-year-old was reported missing at 1:30 a.m. on September 2 when her parents noticed she wasn’t in her bed.
5. He Was Arrested in May for Trespassing
Back in May 2014, the Mohave Daily News reported that Rector handed himself into police on charges of trespassing, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

On his Facebook page, Rector is a fan of Stephen King and horror movies. In August 2013, he was stopped on a traffic violation and arrested due to a failure to appear warrant.
