Tommy Bearson has been found dead. The North Dakota State University student has been missing since the early hours of September 20, reports My Fox Twin Cities. He was just 18 years old. The body was found at 11:20 a.m. on September 23.
Here’s what we know so far:
1. He Was Found Outdoors
Bearson’s body was found outdoors, according to Fox 9, in Moorhead, Minnesota. Police said that the dead body found in Moorhead was wearing the same clothes as Bearson, reports the Saint Cloud Times. The cause of death is unknown. It was noted during the search for Bearson that his cellphone wasn’t ringing.
2. Bearson Tweeted That He Was ‘Going to Die’
His last tweet said that he was lost and that he was “going to die.”

During the search for Bearson, NDSU student spokesman Timothy Alvarez was asked if there was any indication that Bearson’s disappearance was suspicious. He replied, “I can’t answer that at this point.”
3. He Was a Nursing Student

Bearson was a nursing student who lived in Reed Hall on-campus at NDSU, according to Twincities.com. He chose NDSU over the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
4. Bearson Had Been at a Party
Bearson was at a party when he was last seen. KFGO reports that the party was close to the NDSU campus. Earlier, on the Friday night, Bearson tweeted “Never thought I would actually be bored on a Friday night?” He was last seen at 3:40 a.m. on September 20.
5. He Was a High School Basketball Star
He was from Sartell, Minnesota where he attended Sartell High School. He was a basketball star at the school where he played as a guard, according to the Saint Cloud Times. He graduated from Sartell in 2014. Some of his greatest moments on the court can be seen above. In a 2014 interview with the Saint Cloud Times, Sartell was asked what athletics meant to him, he replied:
It’s taught me that you don’t always win, that you need to give it 100 percent and then some and hopefully everything will fall into place. You’ve got to not take things too personally. It comes down to enjoying it, too.
In the same interview, he said that he wouldn’t play basketball in college.
