Mike Huckabee, Republican presidential candidate, is on the lower end of the scale in terms of net worth when compared to his opponents. The radio personality and former Governor of Arkansas and television talk show host doesn’t come close to the net worth of candidates such as fellow Republican Carly Fiorina, who is worth somewhere between $30-120 million.
The Richest reports that Huckabee has a net worth of $5 million. Celebrity Net Worth also estimates that Huckabee is worth $5 million, with an annual salary of $500,000 from his pension, consulting, shows, and book sales. Politician Net Worth estimates his net worth to be just a little bit higher: $7 million, with a salary of $650,000 per year. Those are still modest figures on the Republican card.
Huckabee’s finances have been scrutinized before. He has disclosed the worth of his assets in past elections, including his bid for the presidency in 2008.
According to The New York Times, Huckabee reported during the 2008 presidential election that “his assets valued at less than $700,000, including his retirement benefits as a former Southern Baptist minister. He earned about $150,000 in royalties from his book about his weight loss.”
CNN listed Huckabee as one of the least wealthy candidates in the 2008 election, along with current Vice President Joe Biden and and former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel.
