An Amber Alert issued by police in Asheville, North Carolina, for two young brothers who were abducted on Sunday has been cancelled, police say.

Police were searching for Harlee Joyner, 3, and his brother, Elijah, 1, according to the Amber Alert.

The boys were found safe.

1. Police Say 3 People Were Arrested

Police say three people have been arrested in connection with the abduction, according to WSPA-TV.

The names of the suspects have not yet been released.


2. They Were Last Seen in a Silver Nissan Versa With Virginia Plates

According to Fox 46 Charlotte, police said the boys were last seen in a silver Nissan Versa with Virginia plates.

It is not known where the Nissan was heading.


3. Asheville Is Located in Western North Carolina

The Amber Alert asked that anyone with information call “Asheville Police Department immediately at 828-230-4438 or 911 or *HP.”

The city of Asheville is located in Western North Carolina in Buncombe County.


4. Police Said the Boys Were Likely Still in the Asheville Area

According to WLOS-TV, police believed the boys werestill in the Asheville area.

The news station reports that police have a person of interest in the abduction, but do not think the brothers are with that person. It’s not clear what investigators believe that person’s role is.


5. Police Have Not Said Where the Boys Were Abducted From

Police have released few details about the abduction, including where the boys were taken from.

It is not yet known if it is related to a custody dispute, or if it was another circumstance.
