Ted Cruz looks to have a lead in his home state of Texas based on early polling. According to RealClear Politics, Cruz has a lead in every poll with some polls having him with a double digit margin.
Cruz needs to do well in Texas to have a chance of staying in the race with Trump. Early polling shows Trump with a lead in most Super Tuesday states.
Texas has the most delegates at stake of any Super Tuesday state with 155. The proportional method will be used to divide the delegates among the candidates based on the results.
