California GOP Polls 2016: Trump Leads Cruz

There are over two months and multiple GOP primaries remaining before the California primary on June 7. While California will be on the last GOP primary day, it is on the radar of every Republican candidate given it has the most delegates at stake with 172.

California uses a hybrid system to distribute the delegates among candidates making the margin of victory very important in the California race. Trump has the lead in the delegate count with 752 delegates compared to Ted Cruz’s 463 delegates.

A good performance in California could allow Cruz to make up some ground in the delegate race given the amount of delegates at stake. The most recent poll conducted by the Los Angeles Times shows Trump with just a 1 percentage point lead on Cruz.

Here’s a look at the latest California Republican polls.
