With the race for both party’s presidential nominees in full swing, there is still a lot that can happen before the nominees are named. As things stand, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the front-runners to win their respective party’s nomination.
While there are plenty of nominating events between now and both party’s conventions, early polling data is available on who would be favored in a general election matchup between Trump and Clinton.
The potential matchup would feature two candidates with high unfavorable ratings among voters. According to Forbes, a recent poll shows Trump with a 59% unfavorable rating while Clinton had a 54% unfavorable rating among voters. Despite her high unfavorable rating, Clinton has the edge over Trump in recent polls.
