Trump vs. Clinton Poll: Trump Trails in Presidential Race

There is still a lot of delegates to be awarded before either a Republican or Democratic nominee can be named. However, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the current favorites to win in their respective parties.

RealClear Politics has listed a number of general election polls featuring Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The data favors Clinton by an average of 3 percentage points.

This data coincides with a HuffPost poll showing Trump with a 58.2 percent unfavorable rating. Clinton’s numbers are not much better with a 54 percent unfavorable rating.

Trump’s GOP competitors fare better in a potential matchup with Clinton. Ted Cruz has a slight lead on Clinton by an average of 1.5 percentage points. Marco Rubio has an even bigger lead on her with an average of 5 percentage points.

The race is far from over with plenty of primaries on the horizon, but the data provides an early look at how the general public feels about the potential matchup.
