Newt Gingrinch also maintains his number two slot on the list this week, but his percentage is down from 20 percent in the June 14 list. Trump has said that he wants someone for vice president who has a lot of governing experience and is something of a Washington insider. If the Veep pick is meant to balance out the candidate's weaknesses, then, this would help bring more experience to the ticket. In that sense, the former Speaker of the House would be a logical choice, considering he has been involved in politics since the late 1970s. And according to a new report by Politico, Gingrinch is at the top of Trump's list and is even ahead of Jeff Sessions. (Getty)
