At the number five spot is Joni Ernst, who has dropped significantly from last week, when she was at 7 percent on PredictWise. The senator from Iowa brings military experience to the table, as she is the first female combat veteran to be elected to the senate. A woman vice president would also be helpful considering Trump has a historically high disapproval rating among female voters. Her likelihood of getting the job is probably down this week because on June 16, she said that she has not been contacted by Trump's campaign whatsoever. “I think he must have his eyes set on somebody else, and that’s OK,” she said, according to The Des Moines Register. She did not explicitly say she would not take the job, but it seems extremely unlikely that Ernst would not at least have been reached out to at this point if she was in contention. (Getty)
