June 7 marked the last major night of the primary process. The Democrats had six states holding nominating events while the Republicans had five. While they are not the official nominees, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are leading in the delegate count heading into their respective party’s convention.

Clinton will need to fight off Bernie Sanders who is eyeing a contested convention next month. Trump is the only GOP candidate who has not suspended his campaign.

Heavy wanted to give our readers a chance to weigh in on the potential matchup. Early polls between Clinton and Trump show a tight race between the candidates. According to Real Clear Politics, Clinton has a lead of two percentage points.

As Trump turned his focus toward the general election, his June 7 speech focused on the economy and creating jobs in the United States. In recent months, Clinton has contrasted Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan with “Make America Whole Again.”

Gary Johnson is expected to run as a third-party candidate.
