Presidential Polls 2016: Trump Leads Clinton & Johnson

Donald Trump looks to be getting a post-RNC bump in some of the latest polls. Three of the last five three-way polls conducted show Trump with a lead over Hillary Clinton.

A CNN poll conducted after the Republican National Convention shows Trump with a five point lead on Clinton. The Clinton campaign hopes she can receive the same kind of boost from the DNC. The polls below were conducted before the Democratic National Convention.

It will be interesting to see how the DNC impacts the polling numbers. In addition to Trump and Clinton, these polls include Gary Johnson. In head-to-head polls, Trump leads Clinton by less than a percentage point on average.

FiveThirtyEight’s projections give Clinton a 53.7 percent chance of winning the election.

CBS News

The CBS News poll was conducted July 22-24. It has a margin of error of 4.0 percentage points.

CNN/ORC

The CNN/ORC poll conducted July 22-24. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

Economist/YouGov

The Economist/YouGov poll was conducted July 23-24. It has a margin of error of 4.5 percentage points.

NBC News/SM

The NBC News/SM poll was conducted July 18-24. It has a margin of error of 1.2 percentage points.

Reuters/Ipsos

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted July 16-20. It has a margin of error of 3.2 percentage points.

Rasmussen Reports Trump vs. Clinton

The Rasmussen Reports poll was conducted July 26-27. It has a margin of error of 3.0 percentage points.
