Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hold a rally in Kissimmee, Florida this evening, his second event in the state today.
Trump’s event will be held at the Silver Spurs Arena beginning at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. It can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.
Earlier today, Donald Trump spoke at the National Association of Home Builders’ board of director’s meeting in Miami Beach. In that address, he doubled down on comments he has been criticized for by calling Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama the founders of ISIS.
“ISIS will hand [Hillary Clinton] the most valuable player award,” Trump said. “Her only competition is Barack Obama.”
Trump has actually been saying this line in events for several months, but it was only during the past week that the remarks gained some attention.
In a recent interview, radio host Hugh Hewitt attempted to clarify Trump’s claim, saying, “I know what you meant, you meant that he created the vacuum, he lost the peace.”
In response, Trump said this is not what he meant.
“No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do,” Trump said. “He was the most valuable player. I give him the most valuable player award. I give her, too, by the way, Hillary Clinton.”
Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are spending a lot of time in Florida, which is one of the states to watch in the 2016 presidential election. Recent polls have shown that Clinton maintains a lead in the state, with a recent Public Policy Polling survey having her beating Trump by three percentage points. Another poll recently released by Quinnipiac University, however, has the two candidates tied.
