During Wednesday’s third and final presidential debate, Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump a “puppet” of Russian President Vladimir Putin. How did Trump respond? By saying, “You’re the puppet”.
While discussing foreign policy, Trump stated, “I don’t know Putin. He said nice things about me. If we got along well, that would be good if Russia and the U.S. got along well and went against ISIS—that would be good.” Clinton retaliated, “… because he’d rather have a puppet for President of the United States.”
Trump then muttered under his breath, “You’re the puppet.”
