Nancy O’Dell, the woman discussed by Donald Trump and former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush in a profane recorded conversation in which Trump discusses trying to “f—k” her even though she was married, issued a statement responding to controversy around Trump’s coarse and graphic remarks in the video, in which he appeared to boast about acting as a sexual predator.

In the 2005 video, Trump also said because he was famous, women let him get away with “anything,” saying he could even “grab ’em by the p——y” and get away with it.

Here is O’Dell’s response, as reported Saturday by Entertainment Tonight Online:

“Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all. When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women. The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling. Everyone deserves respect no matter the setting or gender. As a woman who has worked very hard to establish her career, and as a mom, I feel I must speak out with the hope that as a society we will always strive to be better.”

The entire video, as released Friday by The Washington Post, can be viewed below. Those who have not already viewed the video should be warned — it contains crude and profane language about sexual situations.

In the video, Trump is holding a conversation with Bush, who is the son of Jonathan Bush, a brother of 41st United States President George H.W. Bush. That makes William Hall “Billy” Bush first cousin to both 43rd President George W. Bush, and to former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination against Donald Trump.

Not everyone was deeply offended by Trump’s comments, however. Rebecca DeBoer, president of the Tampa, Florida, area North Hillsborough Republican Club, felt that Trump’s remarks should be excused because “almost every day of the week on rapper music, I hear them call women worse things that that.”

Despite Trump’s comments in the shocking video sending the national Republican Party into what the Post described as “an epic and historic political crisis” with “a rapidly growing number of GOP lawmakers called on defiant presidential nominee Donald Trump to drop out of the race,” Trump remained defiant Saturday.

“I’d never withdraw. I’ve never withdrawn in my life,” Trump told the Washington Post on Saturday. “No, I’m not quitting this race. I have tremendous support. People are calling and saying, ‘Don’t even think about doing anything else but running.’ You have to see what’s going on. The real story is that people have no idea about the support. I don’t know how that’s going to boil down but people have no idea about the support.”

Also on Saturday, The Daily Beast reported that during a legal dispute in 2012 with civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, Trump told TMZ that Allred would be “very impressed” by the size of his penis.
