How to Register to Vote in Georgia

The deadline for registering to vote in Georgia is almost here.

In the state, you have three ways to register to vote: online, by mail, or in person. For all three methods, the deadline to register is Tuesday, October 11th.

Note: Georgia does not have same-day voter registration, meaning if you do not register to vote by October 11th, you will not be able to vote on November 8th.

How to Register to Vote Online

The easiest way to register to vote in Georgia is to to do online by visiting this webpage.

The process is pretty self-explanatory, but you will need to have a Georgia’s driver’s license or some sort of state-issued ID card on hand in order to register. If you don’t have these things, you will have to register in person or by mail.

The deadline to register online is Tuesday, October 11th. 


How to Register to Vote By Mail

The other option you have is to print out an official voter registration form, fill out it, and send it to the address on the form. The deadline to register to vote by mail is Tuesday, October 11th.

After sending in your registration form, you should receive a voter registration card within four weeks.


How to Register to Vote in Person

Your final option is to register in person, which you can do by visiting your local county board of registrar’s office. Consult this page to see where yours is located.
