Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hold a rally in Bangor, Maine this afternoon, his second of two events today.
Donald Trump will speak from the Cross Insurance Center beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The event can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.
This is Trump’s last rally of the weekend, and he will be taking Sunday off before hitting the campaign trail again on Monday. Hillary Clinton has no events scheduled prior to the third presidential debate on Wednesday, and she is currently taking time to prepare.
As was the case before the first and second debates, Trump is not doing the same, holding rallies up until the afternoon before the debate. Trump has also been mocking Clinton for doing debate prep, saying that he easily beat her during the second presidential debate while barely preparing. He also suggested during a recent rally that Clinton might in fact just be sleeping rather than preparing, going along with his frequent assertion that she does not have the stamina to be president.
This rally comes after several days of extremely bad news stories for the Trump campaign, with an onslaught of women accusing the candidate of sexual assault and with Trump responding by saying of one of the accusers that he couldn’t have assaulted her because she isn’t attractive enough.
Unlike most of the states Trump holds his rallies in, the Republican candidate has virtually no chance of winning Maine in November. Hillary Clinton is ahead in the polls, and FiveThirtyEight currently forecasts that Clinton has an 87 percent chance of winning the state in November.
Prior to the third debate, Trump will also be visiting Wisconsin and Colorado.
